Tuohy Homes Ltd (THL) is a family owned and operated company which was established in 1970. The company has operated the Lockwood franchise in the Wellington Region for at least 50 years, and in that time have built hundreds of homes throughout the Wellington Region. They are the longest serving Franchise in the Lockwood network of builders and have won numerous awards and accolades over the years! Tuohy Homes are also extremely proud to be the awarded the ‘Trade Services Award’ in the ‘Porirua Business Excellence Awards’ for 3 consecutive years – 2012, 2013, 2014. We were also inducted in to the Wellington region business hall of fame in 2017. Tuohy Homes have an established reputation of ‘excellence’ with both residential and commercial clients.

Tuohy Homes, Lockwood Wellington, first built their solid reputation through the original founder, Phil Tuohy, and since his retirement, his son Brent Tuohy has continued that reputation and carried the company forward with the same passion and dedication toward the Lockwood brand as his father. With 30 years of experience, knowledge, dedication to the industry and Lockwood brand, Brent continues to grow a successful business.

The company’s main thrust is Design and Build and work closely with client’s to achieve a quality home that encompass their needs, budget and site requirements. Tuohy Homes employ fully qualified tradesmen and support apprenticeships for future trades. Tuohy Homes has established a core of reliable sub trades who understand both the needs of their clients and the standards they set for their clients’ homes. "We manage our clients’ entire project from finding that perfect section, to designing and building the home, the entire consent process, with full project management".

Tuohy Homes also guarantee to provide the very best quality constructed home, built on time and most importantly, on budget. Where we build
Based in Plimmerton (Porirua) they cover all areas of the Wellington, Hutt Valley, Porirua, Kapiti Coast and Horowhenua Districts.

The standards of building components and other materials supplied at the time of purchase conform to, or exceed, the National Building Codes. All manufactured products are covered by specific Manufacturer Warranties. The workmanship of all building products and components supplied is guaranteed to be of a standard acceptable to good building practice and protects you from all major defects for a period of 5 years from date of completion. The Guarantee applies to new homes, additions and alterations and multi unit residence for domestic occupation.
